2010 Columbus Alzheimer's Memory WALK
Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 6th The expansive Plantation Pointe Retirement Community Campus in historic Columbus, Mississippi will host the Fourth Annual, 2010 Columbus Alzheimer's Memory Walk. The only official Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in the Golden Triangle of Mississippi.
Very special plans are already underway to make this year’s Columbus Alzheimer’s Memory Walk a great success and an annual event. Custom designed 2010 Alzheimer’s Memory Walk themed t-shirts, a breakfast/brunch cookout, a marching band, and live entertainment are only some of the activities that will lead off the 2010 Columbus Alzheimer’s Memory Walk at Plantation Pointe Retirement Community.
Huge Community Benefits
Plantation Pointe Retirement Community and The Alzheimer’s Association have two major goals. The first is to raise money for research to combat this wretched disease and the other is to offer support and counseling to anyone who needs guidance. Guidance is provided through a 24/7/365 Alzheimer’s Association Helpline at 1.800.272.3900 which provides reliable information and support to all those who need assistance—people with memory loss, caregivers, health care professionals, and the general public. Both of these action items are of incredible benefit to the more than 52,000 people in Mississippi who are afflicted with or struggling to care for a family member with Alzheimer’s.
Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers of all kinds to help make the 2010 Columbus Alzheimer's Memory Walk a great success. Please consider donating a few hours of time on Saturday, November 6th.
